Let’s design a garden that nourishes you, season after season
You long for a productive, beautiful food garden that works with your climate and your capacity. But starting - or resetting - feels overwhelming. What if you had a clear, guided process and a bespoke plan?
I design resilient edible gardens to suit the lives of real households. This is a practical, collaborative journey. We start with your reality - your space, your time, your needs - and create a plan for a garden that provides food, beauty, and a deep sense of grounded connection.
My approach is informed by permaculture principles and the honest fact that the most engaging garden is integrated with the household and the lives of the people tending it.
How it works
My design process moves through three stages — site assessment, concept design, and final design. You can commission the whole journey from the outset (see Plan below), or begin with the site assessment and decide on your next step as you go - without obligation.
Each stage has a clear deliverable, a clear fee, and builds on the last, so if you choose to proceed, you're always moving forward, never repeating. And if you choose to space out the stages, you can pick up where we left off as your time and budget allows.

Whole-Site Assessment
For those who've been trying — with conventional gardening or permaculture — and feel stuck. Or for anyone stepping into a new space and wanting to understand it properly before making decisions.
This is where we get to know your site. The visit begins with a conversation — your experience to date, your own observations, and importantly your goals for what the space could include (poultry, composting, a pond, a productive kitchen garden — whatever you're working toward). Then I'll move through the property alone, taking photos and making detailed observations at my own pace. Time on site is typically around 2.5 hours, depending on property size.
You receive the digital Reset Report documenting the facts, limits, and opportunities of your site — soil, light, water, microclimates, and built elements - in the context of the local climate, topography and geology. It covers what's working, what needs attention, immediate practical tasks, and the broad potential of different areas of your space.

Concept Design
When you're ready to see what your space could become without arriving at it alone through years of trial and error.
Building on your Reset, I move into analysis and concept development — reading what your site is telling us and translating your goals into 2 distinct design concepts.
You receive the digital Vision Folio: illustrated concept plans, a mood board, and a summary of key features. This is the point where your garden stops feeling abstract and starts feeling possible.

Final Design

The buildable plan
When you're ready to take a concept all the way to a final design.
I develop a detailed, construction-ready design — everything you or your contractor needs to bring your garden to life.
You receive your digital Masterplan Kit of A3 plans, a planting schedule, seasonal calendar, implementation timeline, and notes. Your garden's long-term instruction manual.
*Includes a complimentary Check-in session when you're ready for it
For existing clients who are in the process of bringing their design to life.
Your plan is in hand. Your garden is underway. And now you have questions — about timing, plant health, what to prioritise, how to adapt as reality meets the plan.
Check-in sessions are the support structure for that process. We can troubleshoot what you're seeing, review progress, adjust the plan to your evolving capacity, and keep your momentum going season by season.
- In-person (1 hour on-site): hands-on observation, troubleshooting, and practical guidance
- Virtual (1 hour video-call): seasonal planning, progress review, working through a specific challenge

Full Design Commission
For those who know they want the complete design and prefer a single, streamlined engagement from the outset.
The Plan moves through the entire process — site assessment, analysis, concept development, and final design — in one efficient commission. The focus is on the end deliverable: your Masterplan Kit, ready to implement.
You receive everything in the Masterplan Kit, plus a complimentary Check-in session.
The staged pathway (Reset → Visualise → Final Design) totals $2,285. The Plan reflects the efficiency of a single, uninterrupted engagement
